Ball Skills and Team Games

Join Freya and the Birmingham University Netball Team as they explore a range of physical skills, have a sing-along, and share the story they wrote especially for the day featuring their mascot Rory!

Shapes and Numbers

Join us for some fun with shapes and numbers.

All you need is a pen, some paper and a soft/light object you can throw and catch. Children will learn together the names of shapes around the house.

Ball Skills Session
Grab a ball or something light and join Freya in the garden for a ball skills session.

All you need is a pen, some paper and a soft/light object you can throw and catch. Children will learn together the names of shapes around the house.

Song Time
Join Freya and her teammates for a little sing-a-long. Bring along your thinking cap to come up with some lyrics of your own! Being part of a team is so much fun, can you make your own song about being part of team or a place where you live?

Encourage your child to join in with the song and think of some lyrics of their own.

Logo Fun
Join Freya for some fun with logos. Don’t forget your pen and paper so you can make your very own logo! Once you’ve created your logo, don’t forget to get an adult to post it on social media and tag us so we can see what you’ve created.

Encourage your child to design their own logo. Discuss their ideas with them and maybe you could make your own logo as well.

Extension

Netball is a fantastic sport that’s really easy to get involved in. England Netball have created some virtual Bee Netball resources online for young children to use as part of Bee@home. Click on the links to the Bee@home website below where there are lots of videos to engage with and various colouring resources.
