Christmas Songs Day

My name is Rachel and I have my own musical company called Music Minors. Today is a very special Christmas takeover day. I hope you enjoy the mixture of festive songs and activities. I have added a mixture of special festive and traditional songs for Christmas time. Wishing you all a magical day, celebrating Christmas with Music Minors!

Little Snowflake

We are going to sing one of my favourite Christmas songs for children at this time of year. You can cut out your snowflake to use to sing along to this song.

This song is about snowflakes falling to the ground. Together with your child, follow Rachel’s instructions and let your snowflake fall. The words are simple and are repetitive for children to follow easily. This develops children’s rhythm and expressive arts.

Born in a Stable and Little Donkey

These traditional songs follow the story of the nativity.

There are actions to the songs, join in with Rachel as she shows you the moves. You can also print out the words to help you.

This song is about snowflakes falling to the ground. Together with your child, follow Rachel’s instructions and let your snowflake fall. The words are simple and are repetitive for children to follow easily. This develops children’s rhythm and expressive arts.

These are both fun festive songs to enjoy together.

You can cut out all 9 reindeers to bring the song to life. Children will learn counting up to 9 and the names of all 9 reindeers. See if you can remember all the names together with your child.  Santa gets stuck in the second song. Can you help him out of the chimney? This supports children’s expressive arts and understanding of Christmas traditions.

Make a Snow Globe

Make a magical snow globe to celebrate this wonderful time of year.

Grown Ups:

You need -

A jar

Glitter

Jug of water

Some blu tac

A plastic christmas toy

Glue

Enjoy creating this snowglobe, keep it or save it as a present for someone. It is lots of fun and very pretty. This supports children’s creativity, develops their knowledge and understanding and language and communication of vocabulary linked to Christmas.
