International Dance Day

My name is Georgie and I am a dancer.

Today we are going to be learning lots of different styles of dance from all around the world to celebrate International Dance Day! Make sure that you have enough space to dance around with me!

Irish Dancing

The first type of dance we will be learning about is Irish dancing! Known for its curly wigs, stiff arms and beautifully detailed dresses.

Help your child and join in together with some Irish music. This develops children’s ability to follow instructions, listening skills, expressive arts and creativity too.

This dance is the dance of the Maasai Tribe, it is called Adumu and means to jump. The Maasai wear beautiful red robes and are well known for how high they can jump!
