Photo Day
Join Lois and Freya for a fun day with photos! All of the activities today involve taking photos of different items and taking part in various challenges. If you can, ask an adult to borrow their phone or camera and they can help you take some photos. If you don’t have anything to take photo with don’t worry, you can make a pretend one with cardboard and it will be just as fun!
Creativity with Colours
Join Freya for some fun whilst finding colours! Can you name all the colours in a rainbow? Freya will be hunting for lots of colours to get in her photos and she wants you to join in!
Children learn about how we can be creative with colours and develop our language and communication whist having fun.
Exploring Nature
Join Lois as she talks about how beautiful nature can be and why it’s so important to appreciate it- and what better way to do that than take some photos!

Spotting Shapes
Join Freya for a session on spotting shapes! She’s going to be teaching you about some shapes you can find in and around your house.
This supports children to explore their immediate environment to support their learning. Recognising shapes and developing their understanding of how the world is made up.
Animals and Furry Friends
Join Lois in the final session of the day as she shows us some animals and pets as she tries to get the perfect snap!
Children enjoy learning about animals in their environment and their pets. Children learn about celebrating the world around us, using photographs to share with others is a wonderful way to do this.
Extension
See if you can take a photo of items that begin with each letter of the alphabet. For example, for T you could take a picture of the table. Try and make your own photo alphabet at home and tag us on social media!
