You can do any of these tasks, in any order (but we've suggested a timetable).
Take as long as your little ones want for each task, let them use their imaginations!

Superbikes Day

My name is Matt and I am a children’s author. I am excited to introduce my new book: Olly and Lilly - the search for a new race team. 

Join Olly and Lilly, two excitable bikes in their search for a new race team. A story of families, love, adoption and setting your goals. Today you will learn about your family, design a bike and draw your goals and wishes.

9.30am Activity:
The Story of Olly and Lilly - the search for a new race team

Join Matt as he reads his story about Olly and Lilly.

 

Grown Ups:
FAMILY EXERCISE - Matt talks through thinking about different types of families and your own family.   A worksheet is provided for those who wish to print it off and use. 

10.30am Activity:
Bike Exercise

Matt talks through how to colour and design your own bike.  Get your crayons, pencils, or pens ready.

Grown Ups:
This is a lovely activity to explore colour and design. It develops children’s creativity and language and communication.

1:30pm Activity:
Dreams Exercise

Matt talks through thinking about your dreams, whether for now or the future.  

Grown Ups:

Talk with your child about their hopes and dreams. You can print off the dream bubble worksheet.  

This activity supports children’s personal, social and emotional development. It supports their language and communication linked to positive aspirations for themselves.

2:30pm Activity:
Resilience Exercise

Matt talks through the importance of resilience. He shares how important it is to keep going and not give up achieving our goals.  Join in with Matt and his fun exercises.  

Grown Ups:
This activity supports children’s knowledge and understanding about themselves and what is important to them. This activity shares with children the importance of practising to get better at things and not to give up and to try our best.
