St. David's Day
Hello children, I'm Jude and I'm an author and storyteller. Lamby and Flossie are my storytelling mascots with Little Lamb Tales. Today we are learning all about St. David's Day which is a very special day for people who live in or are from Wales. We're going to find out about St. David, make a flag, learn some Welsh and hear some interesting facts

Meet St. David
Let's find out a little bit about Wales and St. David.
Grown Ups:
Encourage your child to listen to the information about Wales and St. David. Discuss this with your child. Maybe you could look up Wales and the city of St. David on a map. If you celebrate St. David's Day, you can talk about your own family celebrations for this special day. Use language such as St. David, Wales, saint, special, celebration, tradition.

10.30am Activity:
Make a Flag
Wales has two flags, the Welsh Dragon and St. David's own flag. We are going to make our own flag for St. David's Day.
Grown Ups:
You can print off the flag outlines for your child to colour or have a go at making your own flag using craft materials. Encourage your child to make their flag and decorate it. Talk about different countries having their own flags with your child. Use language such as flag, decorate, colour, St. David, dragon, tradition, celebration.

Learning Welsh
Meet my friend Kelly, she's going to teach us a few words in Welsh. You can join in too.
Grown Ups:
Maybe you'd like to join in with your child and learn some Welsh words. Talk about the fact that each country around the world has its own language. Use language such as - language, Welsh, words, speak, learn.
