Teach Each Other Day
Today we are going to be learning how to teach each other and how to be taught, learning how to listen to each other and work as a team! There will be a mixture of storytelling, arts and crafts and lots of other fun activities…lets go!
9.30am Activity:
Teach each other a Song
In this activity, we are going to teach our adults a simple song!
Grown Ups:
You will need to find a simple song that you know well, lots of enthusiasm and some loud singing voices! This develops children’s confidence and their language and communication.
10.30am Activity:
Teach each other a game
This time our grown ups will be doing the teaching.
Grown Ups:
Teach your child a simple game such as a ball game, or a scavenger hunt and play together.
This activity develops many skills, working together as a team, following instructions, listening skills, communication and language and developing confidence.
1:30pm Activity:
Teach each other a story
The children are back in charge now and they are going to tell us a story.
Grown Ups:
Ask your child to think of a simple fairy tale and help them to remember it by drawing some simple illustrations. This develops children’s memory skills, communication and language and confidence to share a story.
2:30pm Activity:
Teach each other a craft
Our grown ups are going to teach and help us to make a rainbow windsock.
Grown Ups:
This is a great activity to work together on to create something beautiful! This supports children to follow instructions, it supports their listening skills, communication and language and creativity too.
