My name is Sarah, today we are going to find out how to care for your pets during the winter. I am going to help you learn about two animals, a baby guinea pig and my pet dog. We will then be making an Advent calendar and a Christmas card that you can give to your pets or to your family.

My name is Susanne and I am a children’s author.  Welcome to our EYFS day full of Christmas stories and activities. From the mouth of a lazy, stubborn donkey to the twitterings of a humble little bird, we will be looking at some very different versions of what really went on (behind the scenes) at the very first Christmas. We will be looking at how we could tell our versions of the Christmas story. We will be learning how to sequence a story from the beginning to the end. We will be finding out who St Nicholas is and how to make a finger puppet out of a pair of old socks.

Today, we are learning about the ’Twelve days of Christmas’, I hope you enjoy the day. We will be learning the traditional song and also matching the pictures and numbers from the song. We will be making a drum to play along to the music. We will also be coming up with ideas for activities we can do at Christmas time with our families.

My name is Sarah and I am a children’s author. I am excited to be with you today to share my Christmas planning day. First, we will be making an Advent calendar, which you can hang on your tree. Next, we will be writing our Christmas lists to share with our families. Then, we will be writing or drawing our letter for Santa and posting it to his special address. We will finish our activities by decorating our Christmas Trees! Finally, snuggle down for my bedtime story, ‘The Christmas Lanterns,’ at the end of the day.

Next, we will be designing our own scarf to keep us warm and wrapping up warm to go on an outdoor colour hunt. We will also be making some tasty melted snowman biscuits.

Hello, I’m Wendy. I’m an early years teacher and a children’s author. I’m really pleased to be here with you at EYFS Home.

Today I am going to read you my version of The Ugly Duckling and then we’re going to make our own bird on a nest with some cute little chicks. Then we are going to play a game. We’ll be doing a floating and sinking activity and a song. After our busy day together I will tell you a bedtime story of the Aesop fable - 'The Lion and the Mouse'.
