All About Me
Emma Sykes
Thursday, 10 June 2021
Hi, my name is Emma and today I would like to celebrate all the amazing things about ourselves. Everyday, we take for granted the things we have around us. We may forget how lucky we are to have trees, parks, birds, the sea or farms around us. Today, we are going to find these special things. We will need to look very carefully, using new equipment, which we are going to make in our first activity. Each one of us is very special and it does not matter where we live or what we look like, we are all special in one way or another. Some people enjoy writing or drawing or riding their bikes. Others may like making monsters and robots out of boxes. Whatever you like doing, the most important thing is to have fun! We will try some of these fun and exciting things in our other activities today. In today’s activities, you and your family can celebrate all the things that are special about you. I am sure you are going to have lots of fun.

Threading is a fantastic activity. There are just so many things you can do with threading! You can make bracelets, pretty cards, wind chimes and sew fabric together! If that isn’t enough, you can use different coloured beads to make patterns along your string or wool. How exciting!
So, let’s shake our hands, wriggle our fingers and get ready to thread our way through the day!
Grown ups: You will need to help your child at various aspects during this activity day. It all depends of course how old your child is and how

Sarah Isaacs
Tuesday, 18 May 2021
Today is Science Day!
My name is Sarah Isaacs and I am an author and a teacher.
How exciting it is to be able to do our own amazing experiments at home! I just can’t wait! All the ingredients for the experiments can be found around the house or even just a the local supermarket!
You will need to help your child at various aspects during this activity day. It all depends of course how old your child is and how able they are but let them have a go themselves and help them along the way. Make sure that you have the ingredients available and to hand. Talk to your child about which order things need to be done for the experiment to work.
